Private Dance Instruction

Kristin has been studying, teaching, and competing in WCS since circa 2000. She offers group classes in WCS and Nightclub Two-step through Albemarle County Parks and Recreation; she also teaches private lessons and choreographs wedding ‘first dances. She has served on the CSDS Board of Directors and routinely deejays for area WCS and ballroom events. Kristin has a reputation for combining clear, easy-to-follow instructions with humor and emphatic encouragement. Kristin has her M.A. in Teaching from the University of Virginia.

Adela + Eddie are dancers, instructors, competitors, event organizers and sponsors in Charlottesville, Virginia. Adela is a GPDIA certified dance instructor, judge, long-time volunteer (including past-President/Board of Director) with CSDS, and volunteer (Ombudsman Committee, Hall of Fame Committee) with the World Swing Dance Council (WSDC). Adela + Eddie have been teaching in Charlottesville/Central Virginia since 1998/2005, respectively, with a fondness for technique/drills instruction; they give private lessons, hold group classes and host the occasional dance. They study with the top professionals to improve their skills and for teacher teaching, and love sharing their knowledge and experiences with others.

Alyssa Lundgren is a West Coast Swing and Ballroom dance instructor in Charlottesville, Virginia and the surrounding areas. As a professional dance instructor, Alyssa’s goal is to develop confident, stylish, and well rounded dancers. She strives to get beginning students quickly dancing with confidence and to help danced dancers master their technique, styling and musicality.

Gaia and Ilon are located in Charlottesville, Virginia and have training across a variety of dance styles, including West Coast Swing, Salsa, and Ballroom. Reach out to them if you’re interested in having group lesson instructors or performers for an event.

Jason has been dancing since middle school in various styles and once he found West Coast Swing, he fell in love. With a vast knowledge of psychology and physiology, he specializes in the body mechanics of WCS, bringing healthy mindsets to the dance, and having a “conversation” with your dance partner. As the community organizer in Lynchburg, VA for the past 8 years, Jason has a wealth of knowledge in teaching West Coast Swing, DJing, and has a passion for teaching people to teach. He has taught up and down the East Coast solo and with champion West Coast Swing dancers, teaches weekly in Lynchburg, but is enthusiastic when it comes to teaching private lessons.
