Charlottesville Swing Dance Society is a non-profit, volunteer run, west coast swing dance club serving Charlottesville, Virginia, and the surrounding area. The club hosts a monthly dance with lesson, a holiday members dinner, a weekly social dance, and other special events throughout the year.
The monthly dances are the third Saturday of the month and are held at Ivy Creek United Methodist Church or Municipal Arts Center. There is usually a lesson prior to the dance which is included in admission. Lessons may be taught by one of our talented local instructors or a guest instructor from outside the area. The lesson content will vary depending on the instructor and is announced prior to the dance.
The weekly social dance (aka Swing Swap) is held every Thursday. It provides a great opportunity to meet other dancers in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
