Kristin has been studying, teaching, and competing in WCS since circa 2000. She offers group classes in WCS and Nightclub Two-step through Albemarle County Parks and Recreation; she also teaches private lessons and choreographs wedding ‘first dances. She serves on the CSDS Board of Directors and routinely deejays for area WCS and ballroom events. Kristin has a reputation for combining clear, easy-to-follow instructions with humor and emphatic encouragement. She also hosts a monthly WCS practice & feedback event at The Dance Spot. Kristin has her M.A. in Teaching from the University of Virginia.

Adela + Eddie are dancers, instructors, competitors, event organizers and sponsors in Charlottesville, Virginia. Adela is a long-time volunteer, a past-President and current Board of Director with the Charlottesville Swing Dance Society (CSDS). Adela + Eddie have been a teaching couple since 2006, specializing in West Coast Swing and Nightclub 2-Step. They regularly teach in Charlottesville and Central Virginia, offering pre-dance lessons, group classes, workshops and private lessons, with a fondness for technique/drills instruction, and have been hosting Drills Classes since 2017. Adela is also a GPDIA certified instructor.
Adela and Eddie have been competing in West Coast Swing since 2008, traveling across the country to attend weekend dance events. They compete at the Advanced level and in the Sophisticated (35+) age division for Jack & Jills (random partner) and Strictly Swings (chosen partner); Adela also competes in the Masters (50+) divisions and as an Intermediate level Leader. They study with the top professionals, taking private lessons, group workshops and teaching training to keep up with current trends and to improve their own dancing/teaching, and love bringing back their knowledge and experiences to share with the dancers at home.

Alyssa Gillespie is a West Coast Swing and Ballroom dance instructor in Charlottesville, Virginia and the surrounding areas. As a professional dance instructor, Alyssa’s goal is to develop confident, stylish, and well rounded dancers. She strives to get beginning students quickly dancing with confidence and to help danced dancers master their technique, styling and musicality.

The Northcutts enjoy working with beginners getting started in West Coast Swing, and helping people discover the joy of dancing. Billy and April Northcutt have been dancing and competing in West Coast Swing for about 8 years, and currently compete as an Advanced level leader, and as an Intermediate follow respectively. The Northcutts enjoy dancing at local area dances and traveling to events to dance and compete when able. They occasionally teach at local area dances, and are available for private lessons.

Jacen competes as an Advanced level leader, and placed 3rd with his partner with their routine in the Young Adult Division at the US Open Swing Dance Championships in 2018 and in 2019. He has been dancing and competing in WCS for a little over 7 years.
