Membership

NOTE:  Beginning January 1, 2025 CSDS will change prices to keep up with increasing costs and pay DJs and instructors more equitable fees. CSDS aims to keep member prices low while still maintaining the financial health and longevity of the club. Price changes will be as follows:

  • Annual membership: $20
  • Member monthly dance price: $10 (no change!)
  • Student monthly dance price: $10
  • Non-member monthly dance price: $15
We will no longer offer special prices for first-time attendees or birthdays.

Membership has many benefits:

  • Members save $5 off the cost of admission at every CSDS dance
  • Members get special reduced pricing for pro workshops
  • Membership supports Swing Swap practice dance every week
  • Membership supports the Charlottesville dance community
  • Members may serve on the CSDS Board and may attend board meetings
  • Members may vote at membership meetings

You can become a member or renew your membership one of the following ways:

  • Online
    1. Complete the form below and click Submit to register.
    2. Once at the “Registration Complete” page fill in “Participant Name” and click Add to Cart.
    3. From the right select View Cart and complete the PayPal process for payment.  NOTE: PayPal account not required, all major credit cards accepted.
  • In Person – at any CSDS dance event. For faster check-in print and complete the CSDS Membership Form and bring $20 in cash or check to “CSDS”.
  • Mail – print and complete the CSDS Membership Form. Mail with a check to “CSDS” for $20 to: Charlottesville Swing Dance Society, PO Box 4442, Charlottesville, VA 22905.

Your membership is not active until payment is received.
*Liability Waiver: I do hereby for myself and my heirs, executors and administrators waive and release any and all rights and claims of damage I may accrue against the Charlottesville Swing Dance Society (CSDS) and all persons affiliated with this event for any and all injuries I may suffer while traveling to/from or while participating in CSDS functions.
